LO5 - Shots to be presented (9)

Noir

This is my favourite Image of all of my final pieces. It required minimal editing, as the only change  made was turning the image to blakc and white. One of the inspirations to make this image black and white was Anton Corbijn who became famous because of his simple but unique style of band photography This image stands out from the rest, because of its simplicity, whilst my other images play about with colour and saturation and often are modelled after other types of art and photography. Also the fact that so little editing has been done means that the image is still in its highest resolution, this shows off all the smaller details and imperfections of the performer. The way the performer is staring offscreen, leaves an ambiguity to the image, what is he looking at? and what kind of emotions is it evoking within him?
I also like how the lighting of theis photo highlights the eyes of the performer and how it shows o the mark on his hand. It makes the image seem more powerful and feels as though the performer is in control of the world aorund him.
