Polaroid singer
I wanted this picture to appear as though it happen been taken using a Polaroid camera. I wanted to do this to show the timelessness of music, with Polaroids not being used as much these days but still being very recognizable, I thought they would help to reflect this the most. I also think that it helps this image to feel more distinct from the others, offering a more personal effect that contrasts the very modern look of some of the other pieces. A famous photographer who uses film in most of his images in Anton Corbijn, however he doesn't use this type of film often, instead choosing to develope it himself. To create the effect that would make the image seem this way I firstly printed off my image and then scanned in the print, this let in light as it was happening which changed the color of the image slightly, it also left grain on the picture, which helps to male it seem more old fashioned and as if film was used to take the picture. After I had scanned my image into the computer I added the faded white bars on the side and these are things that would appear on most Polaroid images.
