Today I will be aking several photos in and around UTC Sheffield. I will be doing this so that I can get a better idea of which shots and ideas work well in practise as well as in theory. I will be taking my photos between 11:00 and 12:40.
I will be taking a lot of my photos inside, as I think that having a background that is outside, could be distracting and draw away from the focus of the image. Also, some of the locations that are inside the building suit my theme of Music alot better.
My theme is Music. This covers writing, listening to and playing music, I want to do this so that I can convey the universal qualities of music; how everyone can appreciate it in some form or another, this will also link in to other themes, like growing up and emotions.
I will mostly be using natural lighting, because I like photos like this to feel natural and not like the effect they give out seems artificial.
I will be using a Canon 650D for this shoot, I will also take a tripod. But other than any props I might need, this is the only equipment necessary. I will have my aperture mostly set around f/8, so that I can get good shots of people. I will be using the portrait setting on cameras as well as the macro and posssibly a sports shot, for if I use a shot of people listening to music and possibly dancing. I will also use single shooting speed as it allows me to make sure the majority of my images are of a higher quality.
I will make sure all of my models sign a document allowing me to use all the images of them that I have taken as part of this project, this will also be done if I use any locations that require permission.
I will try a few different filters on my photos including sepia and monochrome, so that I can whether any of these creates a different effect for the image. I will also experimen with photoshop, but will try to keep any large amounts of editing to a minimum, as it would take away from the natural feel I want to give my photos

LO2 - Call sheets
I will be taking all of the photos by myself and always use the canon 650 D camera with an SD card and a Tripod. As well as occasionally using the analogue camera.
The only real times I will need a call sheet are when I am using models in my photos or have any instruments as props, however seeing as a large number of instruments are heavy and difficult to move around, I will likely be going to locations where they already are, which would remove the need for them to be on the callsheet.

LO2 - Shooting Production Schedule
I plan to take some shots of bands playing so this will require me to go to some live shows of bands. One of the bands I plan to take photos of is the Mayfairs, they are playing 2 different shows soon, one of the 20th of February and another on the 12th of March. They are both in different locations however, so I may go to both and then see which set of photos is the best and also to add variety to the images I have.
A lot of the other images I want, offer a lot of leniency regarding when I take them, except for time of day in some cases, however I can always try them at various times to see what offers the best effect. Also these could be done in varying locations as long as they fit the criteria each image needs.
I would also like to get some photos of buskers, however I don't know any specific time or place that I will find buskers to take photos of, so whenever I am in town, I will be looking out for people who would be good subjects to get photos of. This also offers an element of randomness to my photos, which I like the idea of as it can allow me to take photos I had never even thought of.
